UK's 'trust twisting' government

Postby mrswdk on Tue May 26, 2020 8:15 am

The UK Government's most senior adviser has justified a recent family outing taken while sick with COVID-19 by saying that he only went out because the drive was a way of testing his eyes. One of the UK's most senior government ministers has since gone on the record attempting to defend the adviser by saying that he sometimes drives his car around as a way of testing his eyesight:

This comes shortly on the back of the UK Government:

  • Counting pairs of gloves as '2 items' of PPE to help them meet their targets for equipping healthcare workers
  • Counting unused COVID-19 tests as completed in order to meet its own testing targets
  • Citing a Facebook poll run by a local radio station as evidence their contact tracing app has achieved good take up
  • Being put on blast by its own bureaucracy for being 'arrogant', 'offensive' 'trust twisters'

Congratulations to Bozza and congratulations to hope, positive vibes, and a real leader.

Your points being that I should therefore approve of how the government has handled COVID-19?

No, the point being that it's always funny when a hero-worshiper finds out that his hero has clay feet.

That's all. It's funny. No deep significance.

I am still glad he got elected and am still glad he was able to push Brexit through. Everyone that stood in his way deserved to be steamrolled and steamrolled they were.
