Two thoughts. Chicago means garlic so the garlic festival should be there.
Garlic is only mentioned in the Bible once, as a desire of the flesh that caused the Israelites to revolt against Moses (Num 11:5).

This was terrifying. For the last 5 years, my son has flown there to work a buddy's booth he always has at that show. This year my bud was in europe so skipped it, thank the gods.

When I lived in the New Forest, we used to go to the garlic festival on the Isle of Wight, it was great fun. One year, we and some friends stayed on the island for a coupla days. We both bought a string of garlic and a string of oak-smoked garlic (bloody delicious), and left them in the boot (trunk) of the cara overnight. The smell when we got in the car next morning was overpowering!

POINT: No fucking way to "check packs" by "security". You've obviously not been to an event of this sort. Like a juried art show, implementing THAT type of scenario / security would kill the show. May as well not have it. 30,000 people wander through, as an example.

Anyway....I'll say again I am beyond thrilled my son wasn't working the show this year.....whew.
