countries are not Races..
people who live in Canada are called Canadians.. their Nationality is .. Canadian..
people who live in Wales are called Welsh. their nationality is Welsh..
people who live in the united States are called Americans. their Nationality is .. American...

within those individual countries there is a wide variety of Races of people.. black, white, Latino, etc, etc, etc, who all share the same nationality... they are not all the same race..

being 50% Welsh, 50% Cockney.. is your Ethnicity..
a black man & a white man can both be 50% welsh & 50% cockney.. but they are not the same race..

your Nationality is United States.
if you are White.. then your Race is Caucasian.

There is a broader sense of nationalism. The reason Italy is a nation instead of a kingdom is because the Italian race wanted a place to call their own. When Mussolini introduced anti-Jewish laws, he did so because of the interests of the "Italian race". When people who live in Canada say "I am Italian", they don't mean that they carry an Italian passport (although they might in some instances). Ethnicity vs. Race isn't a real scientific distinction; it's just something the US Census invented. As I said before, there is no actual scientific definition of race. It's an arbitrary thing that humans have invented.

Picture a giant family tree with all the people interconnected. The idea behind "races" is that at a certain point in our history you can pick one common ancestor to the different races, so races would be called a clade on the human family tree. However, as soon as you crossbreed after the common ancestors, the clade no longer holds and then it becomes impossible to speak of an actual race.

That would be in the basic Canadian hand book, they are givin to each Canadian at birth.
The rest only get theirs at the citizenship swearing in ceremony.

There is much more in the handbook, opening doors,being polite, the use of the expression eh and so on.

But thats not how to become more Canadian, the path to being more Canadian is simply not to be anything else.

watch out. JonestheCurl will say it isn't a Citizenship Swearing-In Ceremony. it would be a Race-Induction Ceremony. .since 'becoming a Canadian' is changing your Race.
