That would be a terrible idea. What would my avatar be then? Flowers? A raging vagina? A pair of shoes?
For the record it does not bother me if people mistake my gender.
That would be a dumb policy, if an awesome example (see jonesy below) but there could be a space in your commenter info to list preferred pronouns the way the woke teens do in their email signatures. It's gotta be more pertinent info than your (prsumably not real) physical location.
