Depends on your use of the phrase. You might crave candy but you would not have a sore tooth after eating some.

Sure, even more so in a lot of people who've lost almost all their teeth. It's a weirdly real problem, as they end up with diabetes and gout, because sugary stuff tends to be soft and easy to chew.
