Number 5 is debatable. I've stapled people's ears together for disagreeing with me on that one.

I could care less. It is conceivable. Apathy has no floor.

Not impressed by your veiled ear-stapling threat. I couldn't care less.

I could care a lot less about that threat since I find it interesting.

Typically people are intending to communicate they could not care less when they use that though.

The only one I was miss using was 4 I wonder about 17 since my interest could have peaked.

I'm pretty sure you couldn't have peeked it though.

Phrase which puts up the hairs on the back of my neck is "As much if not more than...", or similar. It should be "As much AS if not more than..."

Much like song lyrics, but we've done that thread....
"Gypsy told my fortune...she said that nothin showed...."

I work with a moron who once thought that there was a type of cheese called Old Forte Cheddar (all labels in Canada are bilingual).

Anyway, this person is convinced that "From Fair to Midland" is an acceptable idiom as opposed to "From Fair to Middling". The reason is because "that's what my father used to say". Unfortunately, the father probably understood what the joke was, and the next generation is lost in space.
