Four congressional by elections, four times we've been told it's a referendum on Trump's candidacy, four wins for the Pro-Trump candidate!

April 11th TRUMP WIN - Kansas 4CD - Ron Estes wins with 53%
May 25th TRUMP WIN- Montana 1CD - Greg Gianforte wins with 51% ... despite being arrested for beating the shit out of a reporter from The Guardian the day before!
June 20th TRUMP WIN- Georgia 6CD - Karen Handel wins with 52%
June 20th TRUMP WIN- South Carolina 5CD - Ralph Norman wins with 51%



TOTAL - CONSOLIDATION - OF - POWER!

It was a gut punch to Democrats’ confidence, a reality check to the idea that vast swaths of the country were ready to deliver a backlash. And it was the capstone to a losing season in which Democrats failed to capture any of the four Republican-held seats vacated by Trump’s cabinet appointees. Earlier in the same night, a little-watched South Carolina congressional district was also called for the Republican candidate.

That is a tough pill to swallow for Democrats who have convinced themselves opposing Trump will bring them back from the brink of powerlessness.

Living in Georgia's 6th, I can tell you that this election was particularly nasty.

It's weird how convinced anti-Trump, anti-Brexit people etc. seem to be that everyone will be watching the news and interpreting it in the same way that they do. Like, commentators who think the UK should have voted to stay in the EU always seem astonished when there's some mildly negative Brexit story and the polls don't immediately start showing 95% of people opposing Brexit.

Not knowing her audience killed Killary and continuing to refuse to know their audience seems to be killing the Dems on an ongoing basis now.
