It's probably closer to German, IIRC. Most major languages use a lot of English loan words nowadays, but then English is a malleable language, and relatively easy to pick up. The point of the dog's commands though were that they weren't English words, so they were unique commands, not easy to accidentally replicate unless taking down a ring of pot-brownie dealers working out of Amsterdam's notorious cafe syndicates.

Anyway, that's enough about Person of Interest.

Has anyone suggested Esperanto?
