Last year New Zealand set a world record by winning 18 rugby test matches in a row. However, in their 19th game they were roundly spanked by a dominant Ireland.
England have just won their 18th game in a row, equaling New Zealand's record, and if they win their next game (also against Ireland) they will set a new world record. On their current run of form this is all but guaranteed to happen.
It is therefore safe to say that England's majestic and dominating team of warriors outclasses New Zealand's pathetic scrawny schoolboys in almost every aspect of the game (New Zealand's pre-match dancing is still way cool though). How, then, do New Zealand aka the All Blacks aka the Pacific Island Nations Federation Rugby FC remain ranked world number 1? Is it a faulty algorithm, or some more insidious equal opportunities BS designed to help crappy teams gain a footing on the world stage?
