That is why Christophe Lemaitre's achievement of a Bronze in the 200m is so impressive. And somewhat relates to the wider debate:
I certainly celebrate US and GB's achievements this Olympics. Both countries have shown amazing levels of talent, skill and athletic ability and should be applauded.
But I also celebrate Christophe Lemaitre's, Jamaica's and New Zealand's achievements as well. These people/countries have punched well above their weight or had to fight adversity, yet still delivered amazing results.
