The vitreous body is the clear gel that fills the space between the lens and the retina of the eyeball of humans and other vertebrates. It is often referred to as the vitreous humour or simply "the vitreous".

If this was supposed to be humourous, i can't say that it is. I'm currently not laughing.

Oddly enough, the idea of humour comes from bodily liquids. Back in the day people were supposed to be governed by excesses or lacks of different bodily liquids, resulting in humours. That would govern your personality.

You could be phlegmatic, sanguine, choleric, or melancholic, or a mix. Playwrights Playwrights like Ben Jonson used this idea in their comedies- exaggerating the traits.
