The capacity of writing and reviving the past it's like being a collector of antiquities, we contemplate a beauutiful collection of coins, always looking forward to get the one that is missing, and it gives you great deal of excitement. and it's great to collect memories as well.

In life it's good when you can keep looking forward to make more history, antecipating more happinnes, living it and reliving it as you remember. And repeating.

The problems starts when you can't repeat it, euther because something went wrong or time caught up on you, it breaks that glorious cycle and now you have to rethink a lot of stuff. And the memories haunt you because you no longer feel the excitement of antecipation but the painful anguish of being able to remember but not repeat it.

What can you do when it's in your nature to remember, when remembering is a crucial part of your happiness? It's not just that simple to erase the past. Memory is what makes people unique.

But I understand you. looming about misfortunes is an hindrance, happiness constantly delayed and restricted by one thought. And the better tomorrow never comes, like waiting for a lottery number.

I really enjoyed reading what you had to say and the way you look at things in that perspective. Thanks for the post. Isn't it intriguing to read and listen other people's views on life, aswell as other things? Even the dillusional and close-minded views that Symmetry likes to post on the forums. Yes, even those are interesting because you can gather a lot about the type of person they are behind that Avatar. Good stuff ;)

This literally just happened to me, and this is exactly the Epiphany I had.

Millions of people do this everyday. It's basic confucianism.
