You could take that 40 bucks and buy two prems…

I think you only match half the description, diddle. But WOW! 10,000 years! I suppose it could be a good investment though (If it's not a scam.. You buy some property for $40 and in 10,00 years our great,great,great...grandchild gets the property and of course over time the value of the property would increase and then they could sell it. However I'm not an expert on this sort of thing, or even an amateur so I probably shouldn't comment on it.

Stephen Levins, head of the state consumer affairs office, said the offer could be a problem if it were serious. "However, if the Web site is clear it's a parody and you're not going to be receiving an actual interest in real estate, that's something else," he said.

It's not a scam if they say outright that it's a scam!

It's not really long-term investiment, because unless I'm really, really, really wrong, the bottom of the sea cannot be owned except by government agencies. So essentially they're buying yearly boat trips over the volcano (well, it is quite a bargain for forty bucks) but, even if the economic system as we know it doesn't collapse and deeds of today are still valid ten thousand years from now, their great great great great great (etc) grandchildren won't own squat.

why it isn't possible: because let's say you have 2 kids. Each of them has 2 kids, so thats 4 grandkids. multiply that by as many generations that fit in 10,000 years and you have (at least) thousands of descendants, probably so many descendants that you couldn't even divide the value into "a dollar for everybody".

why it isn't a scam: its only $40 and the actual site even jokes about ppl not buying into it...

Why do you have to split your possessions equally between all your children?

I'm certain there will be an additionaly fee for the party and boat ride. You're essentially buying a little bit of entertainment, via a piece of paper to play show off with.

Would make a great gift to your inlaws.
