11-Nov is Veteran's Day.
It used to be called Armistice Day, celebrating the end of WWI which took place at 11:00 on Nov-11.

No, he's right. He's just Canadian. Memorial Day is an American thing that we have nothing to do with here in Canada. Instead we have Remembrance Day on November 11th. A song played with the trumpet, who's name I can't remember ATM is played at 11:00am to remember those that were lost.
In heaven... Everything is fine, in heaven... Everything is fine, in heaven... Everything is fine... You got your things, and I've got mine.

Makes sense, as Canadians have little need to memorialize the American Civil War.
Props to all the veterans, American and otherwise.

Memorial Day is not specific to the Civil War. It was established to honor all who have fallen in all wars.......
