Here is my scholastic experience (as someone now studying for a PhD):

SATs (age 13) don't mean much, only what set you'll get put in for GCSEs...

GCSEs (age 15) are more important, and determine whether you're gonna go college, do A-Levels or be a plasterer...

A-Levels (age 17) seem like they're the end of your life, but they only serve to get you into Uni where the real fun begins...

In conclusion, try hardest in your GCSEs, next in your A-Levels and SATs don't matter... :D

Think I got 7's across the board...

Yeah, but you sit different SATs several times in your life (there's a gap of several years between). Each time there's a pre-determined average, so you're supposed to get a level 2 the first time, then a 4 the next time, and then 6 in the final set (I think those numbers are right?).
Guis is right though, they're fairly meaningless once you start getting GCSEs and A-levels.

SATs are levels which roughly correspond with grades, then GCSEs and A-Levels work on the A-E or A-F grade system.

what year are you? in my underclassman years I always tried and tried to squeeze that B+ into an A-, but at the end of my sophomore year I had Honors English II and Painting, and i sucked at both and I gave up with the A's...

but now I'm back on track
