EDIT: they still air it, but they don't make new episodes. Its on the discovery channel.

The million bullets per minute subject was about electric triggers allowing the bullets to be stacked in the barrel.

the heli-plane reference was the V-22 Osprey(WW2 German design)

The robot reference was refering to the future Medivac units

The show is also on the Military Channel, maybe history?

Swords would be interesting considering our advancement in technology,
Futuristic Apachepistols and Electric blades come to mind

(I never said I didnt like weapons just who tends to use them)
