Postby dcowboys055 on Sun Apr 22, 2007 9:07 pm

Anybody know any dogs that don't really shed and aren't tiny?

I do realize that that was mean. But so is life.

I like boxers. My aunt has adopted some idiot boxers but they are good dogs.

Airedales...i got one. They are pretty energetic dogs, and full of character, but a bit of a handfull sometimes. Still, I would recomend them if your looking for dogs that dont shed and aren't tiny. Mine weighs 85lbs, so it certainly isn't tiny

Hungarian Vislas are beautiful dogs that fit your criteria. Are you looking for a dog to take or keep outside? Do you have a lot of room?

When we were looking for a dog, I found a dog show that was being held a half days drive away. It was the best information I could have gotten. The people are friendly and give good advice, you get to see the dogs and their temperaments, and you can make contacts with good people to buy from if you decide to go with a purebreed.

I ended up saving one from the pound though and haven't regretted it :-)

poodles ... they come in all sizes and don't shed. I also doubt a Chinese Crested (hairless) sheds either. ;-)

Yeah, Boxers are cool as long as you clip their tails and ears.

LABRADOODLES!

They are a cross, obviously. And they don't shed.

And I don't think anyone shouldt crop a dog's tail or ears. It is inhumane and unnecessary.

I agree to a point. Some breeds benefit from tail clipping because their tails if not clipped grow very thin and flimsy, which makes them very prone to breaking.

I don't agree with clipping or cropping just for aesthetics.

The only reason the tails grow thin and flimsy is b/c they started cropping the tails in the first place.

No, it is what man created it to be. If they stopped docking tails, the tails would then grow back and become useful again.

whatever.
I already said I don't agree with doing these things for aesthetic purposes.

If I was purchasing a dog whose tail was too weak because evil mankind has clipped it for so long, I'm not going to wait for evolution to grow it back stronger. I'm going to clip it so he doesn't break it.

or get a dog that hasn't been fucked up by foo-foo breeders breeding for "looks" alone. blyuk.

better yet, rescue a dog from a breed rescue or shelter, so as not to support for-profit back-yard breeders.
