Paintballing

Postby Aries on Sat Apr 07, 2007 6:17 am

Alright, so I've been thinking of going paintballing with a few friends in a while. I was just wondering if any of you have gone, and if it's good, bad, do you like it, etc. So just give me an idea of it :D

I've never tried it myself, But I heard from people who did that it's very fun but it hurts like crap when you get hit by balls :D

i went once, getting hit was ok untill at the end we had a round to use up any paint left, all v all in a field with no cover

also the pressure in th guns had gone down so the paintballs did't burst so then they hurt like hell

it also would have been useful if i noticed that i ran out of ammo after 3 shots

The balls only hurt if you're a sissy or get hit on bare skin. The only time they are truly painful is when the temp is below about 45 and they start the process of freezing :D They do leave amazingly large welts and bruises but most parks have a 10 or 20 ft surrender rule meaning if you are that close you just yell to the target and it is the same as if you shot them.
BTW inside parks are gay in my opinion. War is not fought inside so why should you play paintball there?

I went paintballing in a forest setting so I put on a thick coat. One round I took out two people and decided to stand in the open for a better shot. I got pelted with 20 or so paintballs. The coat took the hit and I came out without even a red mark.

 So I guess I could wear a coat, also considering it could be fairly cold the time I go

well as you know i have gone and i own a marker. they dont hurt that much, but some people illegally turn up their guns to shoot harder. and as somebody has said if you are close and they know you are there, then they ask if you want mercy such as:

aries is hiding in a little shed size building and duday knows he is there, duday runs like a madman to the shed points his marker at aries and asks mercy. if aries says yes i dont shoot him and aries just walks off. but if aries says no i shoot him right then and there and that is when it hurts.

Oh yes i love paintballing it doesnt hurt really unless it doesnt break on you, now thats when it hurts. I seem to waste paintballs easy so i generally come out with no money lol.

If you go when its cold it will probably sting like shit if you get hit either bare skin or a thin layer.

paint balling is great fun. and yes it does hurt, especially a direct hit on bare skin. or when some jackass turns up the PSI on his gun and the balls shooter harder and faster. but those big red welts are part of the fun. if you dont like having welts on your body play lazer tag.

the only time i've been injured is when someone shop me in the neck right on my jugular vein... i was a bit dizzy after that. good times.

I've gone many times. It's awesomely fun and exciting and is also good exercise. At most paintball places they turn the guns down to 180, that way they hurt, but not nearly as bad as if you play with a couple of mean friends in a field or in the mountains. One negatives is that it can get exspensive especially if you go to your local paintball place. They generally make you purchase their over-priced paintballs and CO2 refills cost more than they should.

Also, your first paintball will hurt a lot. But after that you get used to it.

Only for like a second. Its pretty fun, but a lot of the fun is in which place to play in. NEVER play inside places.

actually at the place where i think aries is gonna go (wasaga beach paintball) CO2 is free, $20 to get in(with rentals and everything), and 10cents per ball.

P.S. this is canadian
