Cars....

Postby KoolBak on Fri Apr 14, 2006 11:50 am

Well I have no turns to take, soo.........

I know many of you are not old enough to drive, but everyone is old enough to have an opinion!

I have had close to 20 vehicles, and finally love what I have for a daily driver (and I do not have to commute, so any tree huggers / environmentalists out there hold your tongue please)...

'86 Chevy 1 ton dually crew cab pickup, black - just gave her a heart transplant last week...a brand new crate motor, 502 cid, hi-per, forged everything, steel crank, perf cam, 750 edelbrock perf carb, edelbrock torker manifold, hooker headers, straight pipes, lots 'o chrome. For a huge hunk 'o steel, she flies....love the sleepers.....approx 525 bhp......

Dream car...Porsche Cayanne S....

Anyone else?

Well I'm bored and I thought I would try to revive this thread.

My daily driver now is a 03 altima loaded out. It's a beutiful car and is great on gas.

I'm working on my 95 Jetta but I haven't decided if I should tune it up or sell it and get a classic car to work on.

My dream car is a Porsche boxter S.....My friend bought one recently and it is a dream to drive although he got it in an automatic which is sucha waste in my opinion.

So anyone have an opinion on should I tune the VW or go for finding the classic muscle car (on that note any opinions on a good muscle car?)

Thanks for posting....my brother has a boxster...fun car! I have owned a 914 since I was 15 (loooong time ago)....fun car to drive...keep it in storage.

The vw is certainly gonna be cheaper but american muscle is reeeeaalllyy hard to beat if you got the time, knowledge and money.

I am a mopar fan in old muscle, particularly the 68-70 roadrunner, 440 6-pak. Nice thing about any old mopar is if you want a driver (as opposed to a show car) you can pick up a clean one with an undesireable motor and pop in a $5000 500+hp crate motor....

My thots....

My brother had a 67 gto, 389 tri power and I got to ride in a hemi superbird once...talk about a dream car.

Have you ever had a VW? Man everything on that car is expencive. Not to mention here in South Georgia parts are really hard to find.

This weekend I was looking for a part and got laughed out of like three parts stores. Ended up waiting till monday when an import parts store was open and then they had to order the part. I'm picking it up today.

Yeah I'm just looking for a driver. There is a huge car show/sale down here every year I'm probably going to save up and sell the VW and try to buy something cash at the show.

I'm thinking about a GTO

If you are talking about a late 60's classic gto, the vw has nothing on cost of OEM parts.....be cool to have! I know my bro's old 67 goat in decent condition is worth $25-$40 thousand........

A toyota yaris? Never heard of that one. What country are you from?

And the minimum age for driving by yourself is 16 and you can drive at 15 with a learners permit and an adult.

lol.......this thread was started by my closest CC friend almost a year ago...whoever revived it.......well done.... =D> :-^ :-^ :-^
I've had lotsa cars over the years...probably around 30 or so....but I currently have as my daily driver a 78 Chevy El Camino, 350-4V.....with a lockable hard bed lid, and a kick ass stereo. I bought it from an old guy (83) who'd had his license taken away cuz he'd gone legally blind. He was chasing cows with it when I finally talked him into selling it to me. It had approx. 93K kilometers on it when I got it......(around 57,ooo miles) and still runs like its new. Vancouver Island rain is eating away at it slowly, but I love it .....
