One Day At 4th period I had drama![]()
It all went well until...
A really anoying girl made me fall out of my wheelchair
THAT ISN'T THE MOST ANNOYING BIT
later when my mum came to pick me up
an SSA (special Support Assastant) said to her "He should be wearing a seatbelt"
That is the annoying bit. She made it sound asthough I was in a different room AND it was my fault I fell out. And whos fault was it that I fell out of my wheelchair the annoying girls so this is similar to...
....
AND IT'S A DISIBABLED HELPER HOW WRONG IS THAT
Genghis Khant wrote:I totally disagree with the SSA here. I teach wheelchair skills to spinally injured people and I think that anyone capable of propelling their own chair should not wear seatbelts (unless they are very recently injured). At the end of the day accidents will happen and if you fall forwards or sideways out of your chair you don't want the damn thing landing on you, and if you tip backwards out of the chair then the seatbelt won't make any difference anyway.

boberz wrote:Which reminds me max in the political compass thread there was a question that you said was insensitive and harsh (or something along those lines). Care to elaborate as i thought it was just a view that i am sure i share with yourself i think others are entitled to their views and the question did have a bearing on the political compass, i dont feel it should have been cesored, i do have certain experience with disabled people or people that havve had bad diseases but still feel the question should have been asked. What were your views.
