I never did until recently when I saw something about a theory that could imply that rest mass could be reduced in an extreemely strong magnetic field. Even Hawkings suggested that perhpas warp drive might be possible afterall. Whether it would be more like warp drive or more like spindizzy technology (qv Blish's Citties in Flight) remains to be seen.

Very true. I usually stay away... but I admit I've fallen for the temptation in this thread...

The closest I can find on the internet, that of which I am trying to convey to you, can be found in the first paragraph on page 25 of Critical Vehicles, by Krzysztof Wodiczko, otherwise, you have to buy abstracts on the matter. But basically your subatomic particles work on the sequence of eleven. But just keep calling me the fool...

Hmmm? I guess the number eleven doesn't have anything to do with anything...

I think we'll see an Infinite Improbability Drive before either Warp or Spindizzy.

"improbability-proof drive room"

Never read the books  Damned America!

I would rather know how this works than infinite improbability drive itself.

Well, you calculate how improbable such a room is, enter the value and there it is.
