depends on who you ask. and your definitions seem to just be for email, not forums.

I'm just curious... the word has been thrown around a lot lately, and I'd be interested to know if it could be pinned down to anything objective. I've always assumed it meant, in the context of forums, "posting for posting's sake, without any real subject or meaning." Is this wrong? Does anybody have any better definitions? I noticed that there is no definition in the Forum Guidelines... which leaves it up to various moderators' discretion. I imagine it makes the job a lot harder, to not have a specific rule to go by.

EDIT: I just saw Klapowitz's thread below... seems he beat me to it, in a way. But I think this is more direct and to-the-point, for some of our between-the-lines impaired members.
