So, I made another trip to the library yesterday...

And I picked up The Quotable Atheist by Huberman, The Language of God by Collins, and On the Shoulders of Giants by Hawking. The first one I will probably just flip through, and I doubt I'll have the stomach to finish the second, though I'll give it the old college try. The final one is something I was pretty excited about going through at the library, but as I've carried it around, I've gotten fairly intimidated by it. It's bigger than the bible! Has anyone read this, and is it as bad as it looks?

No, I have not. We don't have anything like that at our local library. And it sucks. We have 11 versions of the Bible, but nothing else. Honestly I feel very jealous.

And I think that you made a mistake putting library in the subject line. No one has even looked at this. :(

If I search thoroughly I might be able to find 11 versions of the bible at my home. And my whole family is pretty much non-religious, go figure.

We have a pretty nice library. I'm fairly certain I'd find more than 11 versions of the Bible if I actually cared to look.

I've never read it, but assuming its not a wall of text (it should be broken up with pictures and entertaining to read) I would give it a try. I'm always interested in that kind of physics stuff.

Well, add a couple copies of Rush Limbaugh's book, and a copy of Curious George, and you'll have a duplicate of our library.

This got me to thinking, as I am fairly non-religious myself.

I own:
The Book of Mormon
Bhagavad Gita
al-Qur'an
New Testament
Old Testament
A bible that has both in it
Several Veda's
Tao-te-ching

Hah... I've read a few of those, too, though not the Bible... ;)

Yeah. Any book without motivational posters or mudkipz is boring.

Duane: You know what they say about love and war.
Tim: Yes, one involves a lot of physical and psychological pain, and the other one's war.

There are diagrams. And there's one that looks like mud, but there is a serious lack of kipz.
