Confirmed UFO on BBC footage!

I agree it's a UFO--because we don't know what it is. But I doubt its a flying saucer or anything of that nature. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's between the camera and the plane.

I see where it might look like the wing is in front of the shape. However, it seems that it's more likely just light refracting around the object. Since the frame rate is so low in that video, there's only one frame where they overlap, and it's only the very tip of the wing touching the edge of the unidentified object. The light reflects the wing in a very grainy way, so that there's a little bit of white sticking into the black shape.

Try it by turning on a flashlight, putting it on the far side of a dark object, aligning your view just-so, and squinting. Part of the object will be obscured by the light. If this were filmed very poorly, it would look like there was something in front of the dark object.

That makes no sense. You will have to post some credible links on what you are suggesting. First off, the camera being used is a F-16 gun camera, it is not a person in a cockpit. Secondly, do you really think that the camera can turn on a flashlight, put it on the far side of a dark object, align its view just-so, and squint?

I am still sticking to the belief that the object passes in front of the jet in the frame in question. To shun it off for being a trick of light is going to need some optic expertise, I am afraid.

Look at the wing, it's not behind the ufo, its destorted by the glass. Theres a crack in the windscreen where a stone has hit(i dont know whether you've ever had that from driving too close behind a lorry) and scince its glass (or a military variation therof) it will destort an image should it not be perfectly flat. Nothing more sinister than that.

Exactly, this is the frame in question. You can clearly see that the wing of the F-16 is in front of the UFO, therefore making the object larger than the F-16 itself. The distortion of the wing that you are seeing is because there are gun appendages on the tips of the F-16. I don't know how you can dispute the photograph. It clearly looks like the wing is in front of the object and the object is quite larger, larger than a discarded fuel reserve.

I think the confusion is coming from people's perspectives of what is considered front or behind (as my perspective is front, meaning in the foreground).

To me the jet is being filmed in front of the UFO from the camera's perspective.

As was mentioned earlier: Camera is Point A, Window and blemishes are Point B, and Jets and UFOS outside the glass are Point C.

If the object was a blemish in the glass (Point B) then the wing tip would not appear on camera, however, since the wing tip does appear on camera, then the object is considered in Front of the F-16 and being much larger in scale.

The F-16 is located between the glass and the UFO...
