Hillary's Endorsement Speech

Postby DaGip on Sat Jun 07, 2008 4:54 pm

I must commend Senator Hillary on this remarkable speech that I heard today!

Being a Republican, and a person that generally shies away from listening to anything that comes out of Hillary's mouth...I was quite impressed!

Only thing is that she still sounded like she was using the SEX card and ambiguously left a message that she still would have been the better choice, but overall, I would say that was the BEST speech that I have ever heard come from her lips (<-----please insert sexist joke here!)

I especially liked the part of her speech where she mentioned how prejudices would not be tolerated in the 21st Century...that made chills go down my spine, and I felt very proud for her for saying that.

Still isn't enough to get me to turn into a Dem, but is almost enough to get me to support Obama.

Great speech, Hill!

She truly sounded sincere...

This speech was in no way her best. Her best speech was on March 17, 2008:

“I certainly do remember that trip to Bosnia. There was a saying around the White House that if a place was too small, too poor, or too dangerous, the president couldn’t go, so send the First Lady. I remember landing under sniper fire.

There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.

Gip, can you link it? I haven't heard it since they tend to send that shit out here at 5 am.
"Some motherfuckers are always trying to ice skate uphill."

Duane: You know what they say about love and war.
Tim: Yes, one involves a lot of physical and psychological pain, and the other one's war.

Well, that was a pretty good speech. An slimy effort to get the public to believe that she was somehow equal to McCain's war hero status. But really, this endorsement speech was good, and there was an absolute feeling of sincerity in her words that welled up emotions, whether you were a Dem or a Republican.

I don't believe a word that comes out of Hillary's mouth. "Surely if we can launch 50 women into space we will eventually launch one into the White House"...yeah maybe....but not you!

No she said "blast 50 women into space", and I laughed and laughed and laughed. But it was an excellent speech. I enjoyed many parts of it.

I liked that one, but her not-concession speech was so funny. Seriously, if someone was in a time machine from last year, he would've thought she'd won. It sounded like a campaign speech.

... What did Obama agree to give her during their secret meeting in DC?

... A seat on the Supreme Court?

... She definitely got promised some big-time position, though probably not VP.

Hillary on the Supreme Court would be cool. She'd be rolling it old Tafty style.

Oh yeah, real cool. Like we need a liberal Supreme Court.

Do you have the slightest idea of the ideological make-up of the Supreme Court? The best chance of any opening on the Court would have to be the 88-year old Stevens (one of two trusty liberals), there are three arch-conservatives who should be ruling the court for a while. Hillary would NOT swing the Court to the left, at best she would be a bit further to the left of her predecessor in a conservative dominated court.
