Oak Wedding anniversary

Postby Pedronicus on Sat May 24, 2008 11:53 am

A proud couple are set to equal the record for Britain's most longest ever marriage.
Frank Milford, 100 and wife Anita, 99 will celebrate their oak wedding anniversary on Monday after 80 years of marriage. It equals the previous record set in 2006.

They married on May 26th 1928, the same year Alexander Flemming discovered Penicillin. They will celebrate with family at their care home in Plymouth, Devon.

not if it's the right person. Obvious comment, and twee I know. But true. Living with the wrong woman for four years was almost enough to kill me ( or more likely to result in her having an unfortunate accident) - but living with the right woman for me is, well, still romantic even though I'm an old fart. And I do think it will be "till death do us part"

This reminds me of the (I think true) story of the youngster who said to the old guy "I don't think I want to live to be 86".

The old guy replied "You will when you're 85..."
