I love how he mysteriously reappeared only a couple hours after I revived his old "Logic Dictates That There Is A God" thread. That seemed kind of creepy to me. However it appears he has returned to his bunker again and I was issued a forum ban for "mass, intentional, disruptive spam action" during his entire visit. :cry:

Al Qaeda does indeed exist, as does one Osama bin Laden. I should know, the company my day works for sells machine parts to members of the bin Laden family. All the others, Hamas, Hezbollah, etc all exist. Just talk to any Israeli citizen. Even Russia knows terrorism.

What next? The Munich Terrorist Attack was a conspiracy too?

I realize Al Queda exists. Gangs exist too, why not blame them for 911? Hitler pulled off his own 911 when he burned the Reichstag building, then blamed it on his political enemies... thus fooling the German people into giving up their liberties in exchange for safety. The beauty of the "War on Terror" is that it cannot be defined. It cannot be won. It gives them an endless excuse to start wars as long as the people are fooled into believing there is a threat. Soon you will see that our government is who we should be fearing, not terrorists.

The sad thing is Jay, you are heading in the right direction, but then let your thinking get replaced by absurd paranoia.

I completely agree with you that there has probably been an EXAGERATED threat of terrorism, to make it EASIER for governments to impose necessary security measures. To clarify: certain measures are needed, but if the government came out and said "we think there will be one major attack every two years" they would never be able to muster up the sufficient Parliamentary/Congressional majorites.

Where you lose the plot is all this nonsense about terrorism BEING INVENTED.
9/11 happened. The London bombs happened (a friend of mine saw it - he works in Euston), the Madrid bombings happened/

I agree with you we must not let the terrorists win, by handing over our freedoms to the centralized authorities.
But,unless you want to get blown to bits, some security is necessary - and it can be done without too much intrusion into ones private lives, eg ask any Briton who lived in England in the 1980s and 1990s , with the IRA bombing the mainland to f*ck.

You must look at the facts, Jay - otherwise you let the forces of conservatism (cheers Tony

No its not. And for years (up till the summer of 2007) I dismissed the conspiracy theories too. I have always been a analytical person. Especially when things don't make sense to me and when Bush started talking about war with Iran something told me "this isn't right". I then started to actually look at the "conspiracy" case. Photos, I had to discount because they can be doctored. But the facts were overwhelming! Things didn't make sense. The biggest thing for me, I think, is why NORAD stood down? The time span between tower one being hit and tower two being hit was like a HOUR. Yet the NORAD did nothing? The FAA ALREADY knew there were 4 hijacked planes. So someone made a decision to LET the planes run their course. There is a lot of other stuff also but I won't rehash it. THINK about what happened and what makes sense or not before you just blindly believe what the media tells you..... I learned this lesson, late, but learned it none the less.
