Facebook vs. Myspace, you decide

Postby nmhunate on Mon May 19, 2008 2:29 pm

I just discovered Facebook after using Myspace for a few years... So far I am happy with it. It feels like Myspace for professionals and adults. Maybe I just got too old for Myspace. What do you all think?

Having used both, I find them a bit tedious. I've really distanced myself from both sites, but I'd have to go with the original facebook, for sure, and the more recent iterations if I had to. It's just a bit cleaner.

I am way too cool for that shit.

I always hope that people try to find me on whatever site we're using now and they find I'm such a rebel that I don't use social networking sites like all the other non-conformists to show how much of a non-conformist I truly am.

i have both, but only rarely check myspace. facebook - i couldn't quite get a handle on, and then people started sending me gardens to take care of, and knights I had to earn money for. I haven't logged on in a long time it drove me nuts. i only went on there for the cc group. and I spend most of my social time here on cc anyway. but, of the two, myspace.

Original facebook was awesome, back when it was solely a college networking system. Then they foolishly allowed high schoolers to join up and that just got annoying as all the lil kids i coached in basketball wanted to be my friends, and of course i could not, as i had pictures with funnels and weed and what not. Then to make matters worse the creator Mark Zuckerberg sold it out( not that i blame him, he made millions) and not its turned into a shitty site just like myspace.

So in summation, they both suck.

myspace: useful for finding underground/unsigned music you'd never get the chance to hear otherwise. does anybody seriously use it for social networking anymore?

facebook: inherently useless and somewhat disconcerting. the internet's very own vanity lair. a microcosm of cultural fallacy. the sewage system of the digital camera.

you got it chumps? quit social networking and taking it seriously. play more risk if you have to, start masturbating an extra couple times a day, read a book..

just get the hell off of facebook whatever you do.
had i been wise, i would have seen that her simplicity cost her a fortune

I vomit at the phrase "social networking". Either be sociable and develop meaningful friendships or go up to people and say "Hey, i hear your dads a lawyer- I wanna be a high court judge- my old mans a dustman, if you ever fancy picking yourself out of yer dung heap, YOU SLIMY, CORPORATE, SOULLESS SCUMBAG".
