Since no one else has posted anything about it yet...it seems like i might as well.
May 1st marks the 5th anniversary of the infamous president bush "mission accomplished" speech. According to some lefty thing i was reading this morning, 97 percent of the deaths in Iraq have occurred after this speech, with the just finished April being one of the bloodiest months on record, with 46 Americans dead i believe, to say nothing about the number of Iraqi dead.
While this day is probably more likely remembered from the left as an easy jab at some of the failures of the current administration, its probably helpful for everyone (no matter where you are on the spectrum) to continue to remember that there is still a war going on and to not let it fade completely to the back burner.
