is pretty good. i saw it today.

it's recommended, but if you read a lot of James Ellroy, like i do, you'll be familiar with the plot already.
have you ever seen an idealist with grey hairs on his head?
or successful men who keep in touch with unsuccessful friends?

i could have sworn i saw it too
but as it turns out it was just a clever ad for cigarettes.

I saw it as well. Pretty good....Keanu was better than usual, but Forrest Whittaker stole the show for me. He was great.

yeah, Whittaker is always great. since Last King of Scotland he's been getting to pick his roles more, it seems.

mainly, i was impressed by the people in smaller roles. like Common, The Game, and Hugh Laurie. also, the kid from Fantastic Four was surprisingly competent.
