Are you a horton

If you happen to go see Horton Hears a Who at the movies or have read the book I ask of you to think of something.

There is something that has been happening in the US and around the world that is a result of fear, intimidation, selfishness and/or misinformation. It is the genocide called Pro-Choice and the aborting of beautiful life, human life, that is present inside a pregnant woman. If this little life is cared for he/she will continue to grow into an adult that could very well be the next great leader, warrior, scientist, snowboarder, whatever. I believe the majority of women who have an abortion goes through a fearful experience. Many times the boyfriend or father influences them to abort the baby for their own selfish reasons, or the woman only sees what she will be loosing in her life if people find out or she has the baby. The safest thing for a woman physically is to have the baby and adoption is great option for young women with a man who refuses to support his own offspring and girlfriend.
I believe many women wouldn't have had the abortion if it weren't for being so scared and not having any support and live with a natural guilt for years to come. This is about life. Women need to be supported and cared for, reguardless of what they have decided to do in the past. Men, rise up and be the men that you were meant to be and protect your blood, your offspring, your pride of life.
I ask now, rise up NOW generation, generation X, and make a stand for life. History will answer and you will be a part of it one way or the other. Love can conquer fear and uncertainty. Protect your children, born or unborn, and provide for them within a culture that breeds exponential selfishness. There is a such thing as right and wrong. When you remove all fear, influence and selfishness, abortion is clearly not the "right choice". in the situation of pregnancy. Please stop thinking about the mother so much and think about what has been created by the mother and father. They have no voice. They are not seen or heard before birth, but are real. The court doesn't believe they are real (kangaroo), but they are. Are you a Horton who can hear the small cry?
Sorry if this ruins the movie for you and if it angers you that I brought it up. I thank you for your time reading, this is heavy on my heart now and I appreciate the absence of insults in this thread. I found out I was to be a father at the age of 19, my wife now was 19 also when she was pregnant, at the time 2000 miles away in a different state. We didn't know each other then. We both chose life and now our 2 kids (I adopted her son) are in grade school. I gave up everything I had worked towards and everything I knew and it was hard, but I look at them now and wow, what I would've missed. Accepting the responsibility helped my life in a great way and will continue to do so.

There is a prayer movement of young adults growing that is a true representation of love. They sacrifice their life and time, fast, pray hours a day, support crisis pregnancy centers, love mothers who have had abortions and are true warriors for life and love. If this interests you at all please see http://bound4life.com/ and http://www.thecall.com/

The book Horton Hears a Who was linked with LIFE in a profound prophetic way, not just to highjack it and use it for a cause. If you are interested it the real history of it here is a small clip, the whole testimony is much longer and I'm sure you can find the rest if you look.

Please undertand this has nothing to do with the hate filled bigots that hold signs saying slut, or baby killers, or you'r gonna burn, etc. They have not love or understanding. This a a LIFE movement, based on prayer and love and truth. It is meant to support and build up and not accuse and tear down.

And yes, I am aware that the Dr's widow supports planned parenthood.

blessings all,

are you like Horton?

Why are you preaching on the guys? We ain't the ones that are getting the abortion? It's the woman's choice, and it happens to be a protected right in this country whether you agree with it or not.

I don't think abortion is right (I am a male), but when I was younger and more selfish, abortion sounded alright. It is a moral choice and if you don't like abortion, then don't get one.

Ron Paul is ProLife...why aren't more Christians pushing for Ron Paul?

He was the pure conservative choice:

Less government, More Liberty, lower taxes, Antiwar, and ProLife.

I just don't get your guys' thinking. Sorry... :?

I have heard this from different sources but I have not researched it extensively. I should not have posted it and have withdrawn it and edited the post along with a couple other sentences. It is not the point of the post and was used to show the negative effect on women which is not the real point of the post anyway. I see no need to argue on it.

Fair enough. You do seem to be a rather discerning individual. It saddens me to see you take such a perspective.
