ipod problem

i got a video ipod and itunes 6 or something. when i plugged my ipod in for the first time it says that i need itunes 7, yet my sister uses the same ipod upstairs with the same itunes....what the heck

You don't need iTunes 7, it's just a recommendation.

And if that doesn't work, then just quit bitching about it and download iTunes 7 already. It's better than 6.

wow, tough crowd. first of all, i do have an iriver, but it sucks. secondly, i went and downloaded itunes7 but somehow i still have itunes 6. i restarted and then went to itunes and its still 6. so i downloaded it again, still 6.

plus, it said that my ipod couldnt run without itunes 7. not a recomendation

I dont know, I haven't seen your situation.. I know that if I had I could solve it.. google your problem.. when I have an ipod problem I google and thousands of forums come up of where someone had the same problem.

Are you sure you installed iTunes 7? Not just downloaded the .exe?
