Genocide events in Rwanda - Pretty disturbing

Jim Jones - Mildly disturbing.

Heaven's gate - Slightly disturbing.

Apparently, I have a code for this kind of thing. Keep in mind, these are relative to other wackos, although I do realize the Rwanda ordeal was situationally a bit different as far as ringleaders go.

I suppose Jim Jones can be moved up to pretty disturbing, but it seems my views are more related to the death toll than to the total wackiness factor of the leader.

Either way, I was purposely understating my tone.

Killing people is fairly easy compared to convincing people to not only kill themselves, but kill their kids first, make sure the kids are dead, then kill yourself.

Exactly. Its the personal nature of it that freaks me out. He knew every one of those people, and mothers killed their own children, sons gave poison to parents...
