Yes, and when I taught middle school the kids in my class would be upset because their favorite contestant didn't win on American Idol. "I just don't understand it, Mr. L! I mean...I texted my vote in at least 5 times from my cell phone". Which would usually be replied by some other kid with, "Haha, I texted in 20 times and so did my friend [so and so]". Text votes can hardly be considered authenticate representations of the electorate.

I wonder how you would react if it was Huckabee and not Paul who was getting this kind of treatment?
I watched that debate in S. Carolina, Jay. I never thought for one second that Mike Huckabee won it. I can be objective enough to know when someone is kicking butt in a debate. Fred Thompson clearly won that debate. Everyone in the room with me, both Democrat & Republican, agreed that Thompson won the debate. He was articulate and projected confidence in his message. This opinion was also reflected by the people in the focus group afterward.
I'll say this again because it seems that everyone assumes I'm going to vote for Huckabee simply because he's a Christian. I'm not sure who I will vote for this year. We're supposed to vote for the person who we think will be the best president. That's like me refusing to go see an excellent doctor when I'm sick simply because he's not a Christian doctor.
We'll probably end up getting a Bob Dole-style candidate this year. It will prove to be a terrible showing, but will probably make for some good Saturday Night Live satire.
