Currently all it does is it adds a little tag next to any coach's name indicating what school they are coaching. It only works with player links, so just a typed out name won't do the trick. Still, though, kind of handy to see at a glance who is coaching what.
So, for example, whenever my name link shows up on a page, instead of seeing "dwilhelmi", I see "dwilhelmi [LaSalle]".
If there is enough interest, I may add an actual post for this script in the Tools forum, if not then I won't worry about it. For now, if you want to install it, here is the link: http://userscripts.org/scripts/source/118443.user.js
I may also develop it further later on. For example, I had thought of adding the coaches current season win percentage in the tag as well, so you would see something like "dwilhelmi [LaSalle - 0.985]". This would also give you an indicator of where you are at in regards to the .500 target for keeping your school for next season. Again, probably pending the level of interest this gets.
Thanks to flex for organizing the tournament, and for supplying me with the information I needed to get this script completed.

I'm also considering lowering the requirement to retain your school...thinking something like 10-12 win range, so that those teams who are really struggling still have a reason to play (besides you are always alive if you can win your conference tourney at the end of the year). Also this doesn't punish a coach who goes a respectable 14-16 or something like that.

You already have a tournament structure to ensure interest. If you drop the requirement too low, you risk losing the interest of middling programs who are secure in reaching .333 or whatever the new requirement is, but have lost hopes of winning their conference.
I'd rather see coaches of .100 teams lose interest than those of middle-ranked teams.

It works on Firefox also, as long as you use the Greasemonkey plugin.

Cool! I did it. It says the team next to the name in forums and in the game listings. It'll be fun to get more of an idea of who's who!

Not only winning their second game of the season, but winning a nail bitter against the #1 Yellow Jackets. Columbia looks to stay in top form for the rest of the season and make a solid run at the Championship.
Final Score: 79-69 Lions!
