I figure I"m not alone, but airports would be a great map. Some of the larger international terminals could provide varying levels of detail from a few slots in the terminal to each and every airport gate owned by whatever airline. It might come across as an advertising gimic as well if you were to include the airports by name and the locations in them as well. The Airport in Dallas could be a fight for the American Termina, Delta Terminal, etc. You guys are trying to get $25 bucks per person to pay, perhaps testing the sponsorship dollars in designing locations that could pay to have the names on them as well.

I imagine that having maps of airports in whatever detail wouldn't be allowed due to the threat of terrorism etc.

It should not be a problem if there is no more detail on the CC map than is found on a map found at the airport's own website, which I presume most large airports suitable for this idea would have.

SDalton, someone started an airport map some time ago, i can't find it at present, but it's been attempted, so try to find that one as it may give you some ideas.
I keep looking also. :)

Ah!
here it is..Sea-Tac Ont'l Airport

Take a read through this and might be good for some hints if you're considering doing an airport.

I love it. Also, there would be no threat of terrorisim as these maps are readily available behind nearly all seats in airports and likely on the internet as a customer service. It doesn't need security, but the various airline concourses and baggage claim, check in, parking etc would be lots of fun. You can likely add the ramp spaces as well for each airline. Unfortunately, I wouldn't know where to begin to build this kind of a map.
