Major west vs east (democracy vs communism) struggle from 1951 thru 1954 (I believe) The conflict was fought through out the entire country between koreans - Americans - Chinese - and a several other nationalities. It created what is now known as North & South Korea. Any one with map creation talent interested?

I was actually thinking about this yesterday, and now someone really suggested this! Actually I am quite familiar with Korea, so maybe I can help you.

In fact, there were many wars between the two Koreas (North Korea and South Korea, but not west and east). At first, they were the same country, but after the war which you have stated, they finally breaked down and they used the "318 line" to be the border of the two countries. However, many people think that this war was not only the war between North Korea and South Korea, but between democracy (mainly USA) and communism (mainly Souviet Union and People's Republic of China), which you have also stated.

Also, I suggest that you should not only put your focus on this war because there were many many other wars between them! I hope that my opinions can help you.

if you dig through the first page of the trash bin, you can find a really nice korea map that was on its way out of the draft room, it was really good, and you might want to take that up, or get some inspiration

An FYI — MrBenn and I are bringing that back, putting a more 20th Century, DMZ take on it graphically and with some very exciting things on the gameplay side Look for it sometime in August — I hope!
