How about a map from the fallout series or just fallout 3. I think it would be an interesting map.

Probably doesn't need to be said but Fallout is a trademarked/copyrighted intellectual property and would result in legal issues for the CC team.

I'm kind a bit annoyed how it seems that you believe can tell the future.

It is copyrighted and all you have to do is contact the Fallout team and ask for permission.

Actually you would need to contact Bethesda Softworks or possibly their parent company ZeniMax Media Inc to get permission. Being in the game industry I know that companies that have a valuable IP like Fallout would ask for some sort of compensation as well as some sort of quality control and one or more members of a legal team would be involved with contract negotiations. So I may not be able to tell the future but I have the background and the knowledge to predict the likely outcome, especially if you do not seek permission.

How did we get a tamriel map then. Isn't that a Bethesda creation? from the elder scrolls series???

Who knows... A quick search of the trademark database doesn't turn up Tamriel however Oblivion shows up as registered to ZeniMax Media Inc. It is possible that Bethesda/ZeniMax treat the world of Tamriel as open source content. There are some statements on wikis that Bethesda abandoned the Oblivion trademark but I can't find a press release stating that for certain. A quick check of Fallout shows an active trademark (http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/gate.exe?f=d ... elfec.5.10).

However if you can get permission for Fallout I think it would make for a cool concept. I am not saying don't go for it I am saying please proceed with caution =)
