I have made a map for Disney World, but I don't know how to submit it, or if there are copyright laws that prohibit this map.

Disney is a synonym for copyright. Good luck with that.

I bet the disney part won't fly, but there's not a theme park based map that I know of, see if you can eliminate all the "disney" parts of your map and make it a generic theme park... could be interesting :) just an idea...

i agree completely... you could get creative about what you call things so that it looks and smells like that other theme park, but isn't. Futureland, WIld West Town, Main Drive, etc. But if you get too close you can be sure that we'll be over-run by an army of mouse lawyers.

can he post it and not infringe on copyright as long as you don't put it up as i'd like to see a basic outline of what it at least looks like?

sure, he can post it... I'm curious as well. CC just can't encourage the development of anything that violates somebody's copyright.

But surely a general Conquerland Theme Park map could work? Theme park maps are always so colourful and well illustrated, it would be quite a job to construct.

All theme parks tend to have:
Gift shops
Restaurants
Kiddie rides
Water rides
48"+ rides
Pukers/Scary rides
Carnival games

Other - live theatre/dance, movie simulation rides, walk-through exhibits or low impact 'rides' like "It's a Small World"

A map could have refreshment carts spread around (+1), and spaces for the queue leading up to a popular ride that lose -1/turn (like dust bowl, because they're always in hot places.)

Conquer Club as a 'theme' for the theme park is possible too. Continents like:
Age of Realms (AOR 1, 2, 3, Treasures, Merchants, New World, Feudal War)
War maps (Waterloo, WWII Ardennes, Omaha Beach, etc.)
Rail maps (USA, Europe, Australia)
Tiny maps (Doodle Earth, Luxembourg, Duck and Cover)
Building maps (Madness, City Mogul, Prison Riot, Citadel, CCU)
Game maps (Chinese Checkers, Conquer 4, Conquer Man, Crossword, Poker)
Geographic (USA, Soviet Union, Montreal, Hong Kong, etc.)
Fantasy (Draknor, Halloween, Discworld)

And the maps appear in the theme park in pieces. A doodly continent for doodle earth, a blocky building for CCU, Shield/castle for AOR, and so on. Maybe the gameplay would also reflect the types of maps, eg. Age of Realms continent you'll earn +3 autodeploy on the castle and +1 for holding a turtle, War map will have artillery and/or cavalry spaces that attack accordingly.

Or we just make up a theme, Disney-esque. "Black Mountain" rollercoaster, "Jerry's Log Jam" log ride, "Flying Hippopotamuses", "Spinning Coffee mugs".

OK, those are all great suggestions and I will encorporate them into my design. The next question is, how do I submit a picture/powerpoint of my design. I did not see any way to attach a file/image in this forum.

Thanks in advance.

right - I use Photobucket and it's quite easy. Once you have the image uploaded to your photobucket account it will list the different location tags you can use for this image; find the one surrounded by [img] tags, copy and paste the link into your message.

hope that helps.

Also there is a theme park map in the old ideas thread. i do not know if they made a draft but if they did go check it out. Don't make it overly complicated and hard to look at. I think the old map is in the recycling bin somewhere. If you like what they had PM the maker to see if you can take it over...

Ummm Disney once sued a nursery school for having a picture of Mickey Mouse on the wall. Seriously they did.

They may well sue us just for this conversation. :P
