The Whole Wide World

Basic Idea: a classic risk map, except huge. it would include all the countries in the world, with each country divided up into it's own risk map. that would mean 195 separate risk maps, but all of them connected, part of the same world map. random initial placement of armies would have to be curbed in some way so that the armies fall 70% of the time within one country, 29% within neighboring countries, and maybe a 1% chance that a player's armies would fall further away. amries would have to be indicated by a letter (or a symbol). the trickiest part would be how to set up a platform for it because, ideally, there should be anywhere from 2 to 1000 people playing, and it would have to be set up to accomodate multiple people taking turns at the same time, otherwise each person would have to wait forever for his or her turn. it would play on the scale of a tournament, and probably take months or even years to really take over the whole wide world. :D

this could be cool, and work, but only if you could have links to the seperate minimaps

It wouldn't work. It is way too big. It would be like the 6 map USA pack but those are each different maps and arn't connected.

even if you had to scale it down from 195 separate country maps, and just had seven extremely large maps for the seven continents (say, a hundred territories each continent), it would stil be really cool to be playing against 200 other people. then you could expand on the game once you work out the kinks on the smaller scale. for the links, you could just have a eight arrows to click on for each direction, at the edges of the maps. it's giving me a headache trying to figure out how you could have many people playing at the same time--i guess you could just do it where every group of four rotates?
