as always, when I post in this forum it's because it's an idea and something I'm not going to pursue. at least not in the near future.

Why? well there's really only one South America map and the gameplay on that is only o k and doesn't represent the nations of this continent.

How? I think 42 territories make for the best maps. But, it couldn't be a simple classic map because of the necessary one territory nations.

there's probably six one-territory nations on the map (Uruguay, Paraguay, Guyana, Suriname, French Guyana, Ecuador). how about making those starting territories so everyone gets one. one-territory nations make up a continent group. majority control gives you +2

Brazil would be WAY too huge to hold so the majority control idea can be used there as well.

the other nations would just be hold for bonuses. many of them small.

I know it all sounds a bit hap-hazard but it could make for a fun play and would allow us to represent all the nations in a unique way. And, again, just an idea that maybe someone will be inspired by and make a good map. I'm not looking to get involved as I have too much on my plate at the moment.

How about you make a map of just the nations (i.e. Brazil, Chile, Peru) and add their capitol to them as a territory.

I have a few ideas, with your permission I'd like to work on It.

go for it. I would suggest you try to make it a mid sized map (42 territories). we've had an influx of smaller maps lately.
