Howdy all,

Idea for a map (I have NO programing or cartography skills): the Battle of Agincourt! I'd imagine that it would be a fairly simply map, which might be good as recent battle maps have been quite grand in scope (Waterloo for example). I'd imagine you'd want to create a special English long bow unit, which would function like mortars in Gazala (can only attack distant locations and can't take any themselves). Have a middle choke point btw the English and French of course. I would think 25-30 individual locations would do nicely.

Additional complexity could be added by including the English and French camps, Castle Agincourt (a non-factor if memory serves, but still), a local village...stuff like that.

I hope someone finds this idea as agreeable! =D>

Personally I think that'd be a great idea. the only minor problem you'd run into is that the english position would have all of the "mortar" archer units since the French hadn't picked up on the use of long bows in battle which is what contributed to them being slaughtered in this battle, so if someone got dropped properly it could one side. But then again i'm not a map maker really just thinking out loud about the battle logistics, so maybe someone who actually designs maps could see a way around that.

I do love the idea though, it's one of the great battles of history.
