United States Presidental Election Map.

I know the election will be over by the time the map is made but it would still have pretty cool gameplay.

Although this map will be outdated in less than a week, I think that a cool idea would be an electoral college map.
Each state could be worth the amount of electoral college votes, and you would need to hold 270 at the beginning of your turn to win.
Could be based off the existing USA map.
Although, can the XML handle those terms of victory?

For the turms of victory what you could do is just give like a +50 bonus for holding 270 electoral votes. That is what they did for the arms race map.
You would need to have the swing states start as nutural or else 2 player games wouldn't work because someone would start with 270 electroal votes.
I like the idea though!

i like the idea... dont have it for this years election tho... keep it general and open... and then as the amount of electoral votes each state gets change in the future it could be updated each time so that it is always up-to-date...
as for the map... i like the idea of having all 50 states... tho the new england area will be VERY crunched... and how do you control what can and cant attack alaska and hawaii? shipping routes? major airports??
love the idea that the swing states start neutral...
perhaps you could set it up similar to that map with the ants and spiders... where you could chose either republican or democrat (maybe a couple other parties) and you have to spread your growth from a starting location...
bonus' based on number of votes held? like if you hold 100 votes or something you get +10 armies...
idk, just some thoughts and ideas... I would head this one up myself if i had more time... its a great idea!
