PayDay the game

I understand that there is an order to creating maps, and vetting is one of them. However, I wanted to work on something to understand how the system works etc.

So that being said - included is a map (position-only artwork), and the matching XML file - I couldn't get the map or the jpg to load in the joint checker, but the XML passed the first checker (after I changed XML editors).

So not much really to say... PayDay...with an uglier name etc..

Notes:
Circles are odd numbered I did count - but I didnt even know if this was moving forward - again it was more of an exercise than anything else.
Map art - too large? Large was 800x1100 and Small 600x825... figured they would be but after getting in all the coordinates in..
Explanation at the top of the map is a little weak - recognize that this has to change.

Game Notes :
35 positions
31 days of the week plus Mail in & out boxes, and Deal in & out boxes.
Movement through the days is forward.... to the next higher day OR to the In / Out box that matches the color. The In box can also attack its out box and vice versa.

If someone could tell me how to wrap the XML code like the bigimg it would be appreciated.

This is the small and its way too big, and the XML doesnt need to be done until the map is finish, if it is.

The small is too big.. and the XML doesn't need to be done... maybe ever...

Yes. I think I mentioned those things.

Not there was any real reason too...but I made the files smaller...

It was a fun little exercise.

Posted it in the Projects as it was a little past wanting someone to work on it.

Map is position-only artwork, map sizing no doubt is wrong etc... like I mentioned - to get some experience.

It looks alright, but is there anyway to make it look less like a boardgame and more like a map?

Well I figure what would look best is either a true board game look, or maybe a calender...

I will spend some time tonight and see how each of them look.

yeah... one direction... or fighting the in/out boxes at the top of the map. Its essentially a calendar so its tough to go back in time...

That is how it works in the game as it is based around a calender month although we could change the settings a bit, myabe you could attack the same colour spaces in your row or something like that because i agree one way attacks would be very dull gamplay. :?

Although in concept i like the idea and would like to see a map based around it although i honestly doubt it will happen.....

Maybe it could be made more like snakes and ladders?

Three ways of travel now... backwords, forwards, AND through the in/out boxes

Will take a look at changing the format... maybe the PayDay game is not the best choice of all time...

This map has been moved into retirement.

It would appear that development of this map has stalled, as there have not been any updates for some time.

If the mapmaker wants to continue with the map, then one of the CAs will be able to help put the thread back into the Foundry system ;-)
