Old France

I really would like to create or have a map about France that is more realistic than the one we can already play on. While focusing on France, I'd like to find a map of when there were more battles for territories, for instance Napoleon's period.
I'd like to create a classical map, meaning the Italy or Europe ones. A good number of territories and many natural constraints: with so many rivers and mountains, we could make some barriers.

If someone, french-speaking or not, already has some ideas, some aborted project, it would help me continue with this idea. ;)
Please feel free to discuss this project with me here.

Exactly what I was looking for. The modern France as of the end of the 18th century. For my part, I would have divided large territories like Languedoc, Normandie or Bretagne in order to make more territories and less cornered ones, like your Nice or Bearn ones. For instance, Languedoc could be divided into Vivarais, Gevaudan..., Bretagne into Rennais, Vannetais, Cornouaille... See this site (in french)

Your map is beautiful but small and it will be quick to win a game on it. I am almost sorry I had thought of a map so similar to yours.
