Ok, so basicly I was looking about war stuff and though that this may make some interesting Gameplay, this map is only for Gameplay, (i'ved learned GIMP DiM >_>) So please comment on what you think of the gameplay not graphics.

*NOTE* Still working on naming the territory's.

British ships can Bombard territory's where Battles happened I also plan on adding in American ships that can bombard Canada.

The geographical features of your map remind me of the map I'm creating for Peru.

One of the first things I see hard about this gameplay idea is that the rivers block the purple zone from the red and green areas. Hence, I would suggest you create some bridge sort of bridge in there.

Other than that, I'd certainly want to see this map with better graphics. Good idea, though. I've always thought the War of 1812 as an interesting part of history. :D

If you could make the map a little more wide just so that you can fully include Massachusetts, you could probably make a link between what would be Boston (a highly important U.S. port in the Atlantic at that time) and the ships.

Which gives me another idea, you could make some territories hold ports that can attack (and invade) the ships, and the ships can do the same to the ports.

what happens in a 1v1 game if someone can't get any british/american ships on the drop, but their opponent does... it will never end....

I stand by what I said.....
You'll need to inject a lot of new stuff, to distance it as far from the GREAT LAKES map as you can. Maybe include forts/important battles/capitol and use them like the cities in the BATTTLE FOR IRAQ map...

IDK, but it is still too similer to get me excited....

The ports can atack the ships and the ships can attack the ports.

Moved into retirement - it has been a couple of months since the last post, and it doesn't look like the mapmaker is working on it any more.
