Trial of the Century Map...

I've been a legal secretary of a number of years. I think it would be cool to have a courtroom map. I found an interesting image of what this may look like. This image is from an actual trial. I was thinking of doing a trial that never happened but should have. For example: The trial of Jack the Ripper or Adolph Hitler or something like that.

Image

Territories would include:

Jury Box (+6)
Judge (+1)
Bailiff (+1)
Judge + Bailiff (+3)
Court Reporter (+1)
Press Box (+4)
Plaintiff's Table (+2)
Defendant's Table (+2)
Both Tables (+5)
Witness (+2)

I think you get the general idea. :D

This is an interesting idea. Maybe the accused could be one-way attacked by the bailiffs ( The big guys in the court ) THe laywers could attack each other and the judge could bombard the victim, accused, lawyers and jury.

Yes!! All good ideas. I was trying to think up some interesting things to do with the Judge. He could be like a cannon - attack and bombard but not take.

Senate was symmetrical.
Another possible idea would be holding witness and evidence would give bonuses

there are lots of ways to earn extra bonus armies in set up like this. Unfortunately, the Senate map offers no extras. Its just territory bonuses
That would be one way this would be different.

This is a great idea, go with it. Sure it has similarities to the senate map, but take a look at the maps on this site, majority are classic remakes just with a different area. This map would be interesting and fun to play. All the ideas posted so far are great, I look forward to following this map. Keep it up.

i think this is pretty cool, although that map is incredibly small lol

i think you should do a trial involving OJ simpson, and if you hold him, johnny cochran, and a bloody glove, you get a massive bonus that gives you an automatic win.

I'd agree that just because it may look like US Senate, this could be a unique map in its own right. I would be more biased toward a minimum of gimmicks (e.g., don't let the Judge can bombard the Jury or something similarly ridiculous), and let it be classic gameplay with an interesting setting. Also, when's the first draft image coming out? I like commenting on graphics. :D

This guy likes the idea!!!!!!!

I don't think you should do neither a real or what if trial though. I'd just make up some stuff, or call the territories---the defendant, the judge, jurior 1, jurior 2, ect...........

Moved into retirement - it has been a couple of months since the last post, and it doesn't look like the mapmaker is working on it any more.
