But yes, very cool idea... Mibi does have a pretty advanced prison map going, but this would have historical context as well.

Starting on it now. Ill shoot a map out in about 1-2 weeks. Since I dont know the dimensions or what program is used Ill do it in Photoshop and make it a normal 8.5 X 11 paper size

If I may make a suggestion, and I'm sure my current obsession with objectiev maps plays a part, but how about an Escape from Alcatraz map. Where the objective is to break out and there is 2 or 3 ways to do it and players basically fight to break out. Just a thought.

No, that's way too big. Make it at most 800 x 800 pixels

ok, firstly, good start. maybe edit the first post of the thread with the map in it. it might get more responses. also, maybe put "first draft" in the title so people know that there is now a map.
it does look a little cartoony, but of course, its a first draft! don't worry too much about it yet...
the great escapes box in the bottom is hard to see, and there's so much blank space, but i'm assuming its going to be filled with bonuses and gameplay instructions.
can't say anything about gameplay yet, cuz we don't know anything yet. another draft with gameplay instructions would be good. there's not really much i can say about this map. the graphics can come later. right now, for me, it should be gameplay.

so please update something with instructions and i will post again.

sorry mate. Rocky pretty much said everything I was thinking. I'm curious where you are going with the game play. So much you can do if you set your mind to it. I'll be keeping watch!

Heres the map, I was thinking of trying to take escape routes but alot of them are close together or in the same territory/region.

So I was thinking of creating a small side box like in Bamboo Jack. The issue is what kind of game to make it. Id like to make it a normal risk type map but the idea of "escaping" is good too.

This is just the map no coding but if I can make the map look good enough then yeah.... someone else can code it for use.

so now gameplay...
i think it would be fun to have like possible escape routes, and you have bonuses for holding one or something.
there are lots of different things you can do with this map, and it will go far if you can make it have unique gameplay.
what do you mean by "a small side box." what will go in it?
maybe it could be like an objective game similar to Das Schloss. hold certain things and an escape route to win.
of course a new draft would be helpful, but i said what i can with what you gave me.

well I'm biased but I really like the idea of an objective map like rocky describes. Alcatraz is perfect for it. You could have starting positions in the cell block.

i would suggest breaking the cellhouse into the seperate blocks

maybe you can select one of the escapes or riots or something and make some special stuff with it.

I love the idea of making this an objective map, in which the first player to escape wins...

You start in a deep cell block, and either fight your way through the prison and steal a boat, cross the bay, and hit land... or you slowly tunnel your way out and swim for it.
