how about the map of zelda ocarina of time! that would be bad ass. it is a fun game and all, but with the field, the forest, the mountains, the lake, castle... and so much more it would not be very hard to do. and it would be fun. would get played all the time!
this is a non zoomed in view. i am sure you could find a better map, but since i cant make it i figured whoever makes it can find whatever suits them better than i could.

I think it would be hard to work on this.
I really can't imagine continents.
Obviously the image needs to be bigger and the names need to shrink.
P.S what is this anyway? Some game obviously

Well, this sure is not the map that would be used. yes it is a game. whoever has played the game would probably find a better map to use. i agree this map here would be really hard to work with, but if they could find the right map, it would be awesome

if you are able to find a better top down map view, i would be glad to try to tackle this job. i can try my best, and the best map pic would prolly come from the new twilight princess game. you can probably find a screenshot somewhere. i am too busy working on the brazil map revamp, or i would try to find this for myself. shoot me a pm when a good map pic is posted, and if you get enough people interested in this map. i look forward to working on this map

What the f*ck is wrong with you? You've never played Zelda: Ocarena (SP?) of Time for N64?

yeah, it would easily be broken up into different continents, but the copyright issue is the only downfall. hmm....if only there was a way around it

i guess that if we just used an image to trace around, and actually changed the overall look of the map (different colors, textures, etc, but kept the names and whatnot the same) then i'm not sure that it would be considered a copyright. technically, if you take a screenshot, or get some screencapture footage from your own copy, not sure it would be copyrighted...not 100% sure about that though

The copyright issue only occurs if you get a negative reply. To the best of my knowledge, if you e-mail the copyright holders and get no reply thats the green light to create the map. You only have restrictions if they definitely say No.

hmm...that would be nice, if that were the case. i will tell you what reptile, if you get the map picture, and the copyright ok...i WILL work on it this summer (if the rest of cc likes the idea too)

nope you can only create a map of some game etc. if you have the copyrights otherwise it won't get quenched

actually, guiscard is correct. Lack said some time ago that if you contact the copyright holder and do not receive a reply, you are allowed to continue with the map as long as you use all original artwork.

i did sent a mail to JMA (jean) here is it:
Dear Jean
can i use your map:
http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/wii/file/928519/46445
for making a new map out of it, to play online risk on it
if i change it you will not see it was your map, because i will improve graphics etc. the only things that you can see it was made whit your map are the borders (the lightgreen lines)
i did not know if i need to contact nintendo too, so i only contact you
the site i will be making it for is
http://www.conquerclub.com/ (my account name is Wisse)
i hope you respond soon and i hope i get the permission from you to use your map
Wisse
P.S
sorry for my bad english but i am dutch
