Lodoss, the Accursed Island. For those of you that don't know, this map comes from the series Record of Lodoss Wars. I think it would be a real fun addition to the playable maps available.

Tamriel and Discworld too. I'm not sure what the cartographers of these maps had to do to get their map given the ok. Maybe Andy could shed some more light on the matter.

not as easy as that because this is commercial and growing constantly they may complain. I believe the maps in question did get permission and that is why they are on but the more the sight grows the less likely they will give permmision

You honestly believe that J.R.R. Tolkien gave permission for us to create a map for a Risk-based game based upon middle earth? No..I didn't think so.

The simple fact is that if you refer to the map by its name (the Middle Earth map is called "Middle Earth" and Diskworld is called "Diskworld") and keep it accurate to the 'world' associated to the book or movie its not copyright infringement. We're not claiming credit for the concept of these maps, its simply reproducing the concepts created by others in a different medium while still giving appropriate credit.

well in that case we can go a revive a hundred maps that could not get permission, unfortuantly the copywrite laws do state that we cannot use it without permission. IF i am wrong lets go revive the other maps.

Does anybody know for certain preferably somebody that has been here and done that

Copyright aside

Its a good shape for a map, you just need to get enough territories

It wouldn't be that hard to divide the land up.
